NBC’s Miller apologizes for comments at U.S. Open
It’s another one of those times when an announcer has to apologize for comments made during an event on live television. This time, NBC announcer Johnny Miller has apologized for comments made about golfer Rocco Mediate during the U.S. Open.
Miller’s comments were more like a description of what he thought Mediate looked like - which according to Miller was Tiger Woods’ pool guy. I remember watching the event and hearing the comments and thinking that there would be an apology coming soon for the comments and sure enough, it happened.
I don’t think Miller meant any harm with his comments about Mediate - but it was caught on live TV and it’s just something you can’t do these days. Check out the video below of Miller’s comments during the event.

You’ve got to be kidding me? Miller had to apologize for a silly comment like that? Please forward my apology to guys (and gals) that clean pools too. Wait a minute… I clean pools!
