You’re Stronger Than Kevin Durant
By now, you must have heard at Kevin Durant’s failure at the bench press. Not his relative failure, his complete failure. Kevin Durant didn’t just lift a small amount of weigh. No, no, no. Kevin Durant lifted no amount of weight. He tried to bench 185 pounds. He couldn’t. That’s not all. His overall workout ranked him 78th out of the 80 players there. It was, by most accounts, abysmal. Not at all what one would expect from the expected number two pick.
This of course means one thing. Kevin Durant shouldn’t be the number two pick of the draft. He shouldn’t even be the third pick. There’s no way. It would be insane to pick Kevin Durant with the number two pick.
How could you pick this guy anywhere — anywhere — but first overall? You mean to tell me that this kid scored 25 a game with a body that he hasn’t grown into yet? This is giving GM’s pause? It’s scary to think that Durant’s performance in the NCAA was hampered by his athleticism. I was under the impression that he was already more athletic than everyone else. It certainly looked that way. Now I’m being informed that he’s not as physically developed as the other prospects and his stock may drop because of this. Am I crazy, or shouldn’t this make his stock rise? If he was a raw, undeveloped athlete last year, imagine what he could do when he’s a grown ass man. He could be unstoppable. His upside may have just increased exponentially.
So, you can either take a guy with a history of injuries and looks 19-going-on-50, or the fresh-faced youngster who looks like, well, a teenager.

You’d think that by now these guys would know that strenght isn’t everything and it’s not about benching weight but how you use that strength in the game. I’ll be laughing at these guys when he dominates in his rookie season
