Sometimes — well, all the time — ESPN lets you down. While the problems with the Worldwide Leader are too numerous and egregious to list here, let’s just acknowledge how much better this would be.
Seriously, Bob Barker telling bullshit stories and threatening viewers while drinking a glass of scotch would probably be the best way to present sports highlights. “Don’t get too close…man…I’m the greatest.”
And think of the sexual harassment suits!

Both terrifying and hilarious. Can you imagine the commercials with Barker and Van Pelt. They could have a sitcom. I can see him walking into Burbank, giving Neil Everett a high-five and saying “How are your wife and my kids?”
Also, did you get the feeling that Barker thought this was a legit audition and he was trying to be “hip”?
