The Inescapable Professionalism of Reuters Captioners

by Albert Bianchi on July 23rd, 2007

When some euro-trash wandered away from a G8 protest and onto the raceway for the 14th stage of the Tour de France, the Reuters cameramen were prompt in capturing the image that rightfully belongs in one’s worst acid-flashbacks. However, the Reuters captioner (Captioneer? Captionaire? Caption Captain?) would have none of those shenanigans. He or she instead to heroically ignore the only notable feature of the photo: the yelling caveman in the festive speedo.

Excellent work, Reuters. Truly stoic.
