The Future of Ohio State Football Related Bands
You have no doubt heard of Dead Schembechlers. The Schembechlers are featured semi-regularly on Deadspin per one of their major themes: Ohio is a crazy, crazy place. They have now emerged from the underground and have been featured on the Worldwide Leader.But here’s the question that must plague the central Ohio music scene: Where do we go from here? The Dead Schembechlers are now the most famous a Punk Regional Specific Football Band can potentially be. I assume. What’s the next logical step for a Buckeye Band. Well, a skinny-tied, horn-rimmed, generally-worshipped coach inspired a lame punk band. A sweater-vested generally-worshipped coach would naturally lead to
a lame emo band.
Possible names include:
- Lloyd Carr Confessional
- Moeller! at the Disco
- Taking Back Crisler
- The Yostal Service (Thanks to Craig D. Barker.)
So on November 19th, Buckeyes, use your depression to produce something vaguely musical. I already gave you a head start.
