Spicy Cajun Pork!
Well, not pork per se, but still a general misuse of gubernatorial time. General crum-bummery as it is. The Governor of Louisiana has been spending her recent time lobbying BCS bowls on behalf of her Louisiana State University Tigers. Gov Kathleen Blanco has been in touch with the Presidents of the Rose Bowl and the Orange Bowl, trying to convince them that the Tigers are BCS-worthy.
“Anyone who follows college football knows this has been a successful year for LSU and we Tiger fans are some of the most passionate fans in college sports. Our team deserves a BCS berth. I am reminding representatives of these bowls of the excitement our state shares for this team and everything we offer as LSU fans. An invitation to any of these bowls would be a major win for both LSU and the bowls themselves.”
And it’s a good thing she’s doing this too. The 5th ranked Tigers aren’t guaranteed a spot yet. Currently it’s just extremely likely. And it’s not like there’s anything to be taken care of in Louisiana. I mean, the Saints already made everything with Katrina 100% better, right? And people wonder why I would vote for Barkley in Alabama.
