Monopoly Money, More NFL Off-Season Actions

by Albert Bianchi on March 7th, 2007

monopoly.jpgNiners Sign Banta-Cain - I really think that a Banta-Cain was in Star Wars at some point.

LB Brian Simmons lands with Saints - This is a solid acquisition for the Saints, who could be the favorites in the wide-open NFC next year. Also, I think this officially makes up for Katrina, but I’ve said that before.

Chiefs Sign Napoleon Harris - That Randy Moss trade really didn’t work out that well for anybody, did it?

Luke Petitgout Leaves Giants for Bucs - So, the Giants lost their left tackle. That’s fine, Eli Manning is cool under pressure.

Daniel Graham lands with Broncos - Daniel Graham is a solid tight end, but Ben Watson had clearly passed him in New England. The Broncos are building quite a team around Jay Cutler, there will be a lot of pressure on the young man’s shoulders.

Joey Porter gets $20 mil guaranteed from the Dolphins - The Dolphins defense should be good, although this is a ridiculous amount to pay for Porter. The Steelers and Patriots are both usually consistently good because they don’t overpay to keep players, they let other teams overpay to get their former players.
