LeBron Shoots

by Albert Bianchi on May 25th, 2007

lebronnotfouled.jpgLebron is damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t. At least against the Pistons in the Eastern Conference Finals. Facing the same situation as last game, down one with seconds remaining, LeBron kept the ball himself. He had to. LeBron knew the game had to be in his hands, he was the superstar. Of course, every single basketball-conscious person in the region knew he was taking the shot. Thusly, he was well-defended — and was not fouled. Larry Hughes missed the wide-open follow-up jumper from about 7 feet, Anderson Varejao hilariously missed the full-court prayer again and the Pistons won 79-76 again.

Flip Saunders called it “Groundhogs Day,” which makes me hope that he has a plan to take advantage of locals while constantly winning 79-76, or at least a plan to improve the Pistons play. While they emerged from their home bloc of games unscathed, performances like the last two games won’t bode well for long-term success in this series or the next. Jason Maxiell can only do so much, and it’s usually less.

3 opinions for LeBron Shoots

Do you post other peoples opinions at all? Or just ones that agree with your biased ones. Not fouled? Look at the picture you posted with your lame paragraph. “Rape” Hamilton almost completes his bear hug. In motion the play was relatively similar to that of an act of rape. I think Hamilton should be charged with gross sexual impostion.

Contact does not always equal foul.

Agreed, contact does not equal foul. The call was consist with the rest of the game. Great no-call. Can we really take the opinion of someone named Dick [sic] Basturd seriously? He can’t even spell bastard correctly.
