Jay Gibbons, the Creative Brett Myers
Jay Gibbons, Baltimore Oriole DH, hit his wife…amazingly with a foul ball. Really. Bretty Myers could learn a lot from Gibbons. This is a much less blatant form of spousal abuse. Gibbons is able to play the whole thing off as an accident, which is much more difficult if he say, punched her in the face. Gibbons fouled a ninth inning pitch back over the screen and directly into his wife’s ribs. Apparently, Mrs. Gibbons can’t field either. According to Gibbons, the injury isn’t serious.
She’s just a little bruised up. She’s going to be OK.
As long as she stops talking back, that is.
