EPL Saturday: Hello, Mr. Roboto.

by The Fan's Attic on January 13th, 2007

Watford 0 – Liverpool 3:  After consecutive thrashings by Arsenal in the last week, Liverpool feasted upon the relegation dwellers Watford.  Peter Crouch, he of The Robot goal scoring celebration, scored twice and Craig Bellamy, he of the assault charges, feasted on the slow Watford defense.  Bellamy netted one and assisted one.

Chelsea 4 - Wigan 0:  The Blues’ defense finally reappeared in pitching a shutout to keep pace with Man United in the title chase.  Drogba netted a late goal to keep his form and Dutch national Arjen Robben and Frank Lampard also scored.

Man United 3 – Aston Villa 1:  Table topping ManYoo continued its torrid pace with a thrashing of Villa.  Cristiano Ronaldo kept up his hot play with 1 goal.  Fresh from the injury list Ji-Sung Park scored and Michael Carrick netted one and assisted another.

Blackburn 0  – Arsenal 2:  Kolo Toure and Thierry Henry scored for the Gunners as all of the big four scored convincing victories.  Next week Arsenal meets league leading Manchester United.

West Ham 3 – Fulham 3:  Well, at least it wasn’t a loss for either team.  This goal-scoring Festivus between bottom dwellers must have imminently entertaining.  Yossi Benayoun netted a brace for West Ham and American Brian McBride has continued to be on form with one more goal.

Charlton 1 – Middlesbrough 3

Sheffield United 1 – Portsmouth 1

Bolton 0 – Man City 0
